WHO DAAAAAT?!!! |
Kyle and I rounded out our last weekend of fun with the Saints playoff game victory over the Lions and my Tiger's loss to the Tide.
I will start with the Saints game, because clearly, if any of you all watched the Nat'l Championship game, there is nothing to talk about other than a complete and total shutout, the first in BCSNCG history.
Kyle and went down to Nola on Saturday and after getting a couple of drinks on the street, I proposed we try to "Crash a tailgate." Now, Kyle's brother, Mike, met up with us by then and we all agreed that was a mighty fine idea. We decided on the rules - first person back to the designated meeting spot with free food or drinks wins - and put our hands in a circle. Geaaaaux team!
We all split off and I went looking to spark up a good conversation, while Kyle just went in for the kill. Five minutes after we split up he had a plate full of home cooked food and a 20 oz triple screwdriver. Well Geeeeez loueeeze. I cut my convo short, and went to the same table.
GEAAAAUX TIGERS |
There is just no place on this earth like New Orleans, like Louisiana, period. Don't waste your breath arguing with me on it.
The game was great, the other fans were great and Kyle and I were exhausted. We went to bed. Drove back to Baton Rouge so I could work and then went back to it on Monday for the NCG.
Now, I'm not going to piss and moan about the Tigers v. the Tide. It's not worth it. It was not our game. Les got out coached. 'Nuf said. Kyle and I still had a great time tailgating, again.
I had an absolutely wonderful and relaxing break. Enjoyed time with family and friends and made several awesome memories in the French Quarter. I couldn't have asked for anything more. Well, except of course to see my family, but my mom is coming this weekend to spend a whole week with me so life is good. I am grateful.
Catch ya'll later.
You make me want to move to the big easy!
