Weekend Rewind

Kyle and I did some really fun things this weekend I wanted to share with you.

We finally made it to the Baton Rouge Red Stick Farmers Market in downtown BR this weekend and we left with a whole bunch of goodies!

Here you have garden jalepenos, green peppers, baby zucchini and squash, cinnamon rolls, blueberries, cheddar goat cheese and "party in the shower" Abita beer body soap. Also, you'll notice in the back near the jalepenos we almost came home with an adopted cat. Kyle and I are trying to figure out if we want to get a cat to keep Nola company at home when we are at work and school. We did not make it home with a cat this time, but possibly soon.

From these goodies we made breakfast and dinner. We made mimosas, and vanilla greek yogurt parfaits with a blueberry puree, creme fresh and topped with more blueberries. We just heated up the cinnamon rolls in the oven for 15 mins. I don't have pictures of the kabobs we made but we used all the veggies and marinated hanger steak in an asian chile lime sauce. They were DELISH!

After the farmers market we stopped by this cool little diner Frosttop. One of mine and Kyle's favorite shows is Diners, Drive ins and Dives on Food Network where Guy Fieri drives around in his red hot '67 camero looking for hole-in-the-wall restaurants. Well this place was definitely one of them! We didn't have any food because it was around 11 and we had breakfast about an hour before that but we said that having a root beer float was totally ok!

Kyle and I had a lazy Sunday and went to our first LSU Baseball Game. I leave you with that photo.

Hope your summer is off to a great start. Cheers!
